Three good things about today: strawflowers in a cup, the first strawberry from our garden (this is the first time I've grown strawberries- it's rather exciting.) And a few brass lockets with inset embroideries, finished and polished.

You have strawberries and we have apples. I love watching the world go round in its upside down way! My daughter made a pie last weekend using fresh apples and strawberries we froze back in June. A lovely blending of the bookends of summer!

I’m ready to put our strawberry patch to bed for the winter, and here you are, waiting for your berries to ripen. Here we have had a bit of snow – yesterday was the first of the season, and overnight we had a bit more.
Seeing your lockets with a pair of scissors for size comparison – WOW those embroideries are tiny! How do you do that? I would need a huge magnifying glass to do that!
What is it about straw flowers? They are cute little button flowers that last forever. I like all the earth tones they come in.

It feels like just yesterday it was strawberry season here in the Northern Hemisphere. Instead we are knee deep in apple season. And loving it. 🙂
