After I wrote about this great cookbook here the other day, the publishers at Weldon Owen Publishing asked if I'd like to hold a giveaway on my blog for another shiny new copy for one of my readers.

I'd just baked some coconut macaroons (you can see them in my first photo above) and last weekend Tom made a red rice dish and both recipes came from the colourful pages of this book. So we're really enjoying it- you will too!

You can find out more details about the book here, or here on Facebook. They've even made a little video to promote it.

The publishers will send the book to the winner, wherever they happen to live in the world. Just leave a comment on this post telling us what's cooking in your kitchen these days.

I'll draw a winner randomly on Monday. Enjoy your weekend!

Ooooh! yes, I’d LOVE to have a copy of this book! As the seasons have changed I’ve really been into making things, little pies and fruit breads. Next up I want to make an apple sauce cake. This book looks so beautiful and the recipes so good. Thanks for the chance to win!~

It’s just starting to turn chilly where I live so my kitchen is all soups and crusty breads and taste testing recipes for thanksgiving. This week has been potato & chorizo soup with kale, Tuscan bean soup, and a trial run of the apple cider cream pie from Allison Kave in the November Food & Wine. If you haven’t tried the pie yet, it’s a keeper, but it is easy to overcook.

I’ve been baking biscuits (cookies) lately. My last batch were dark chocolate and cherry. My next batch I’m planning on using some absolutely beautiful crystallised ginger I picked up at a local fruit and veg shop.

Tonight we have a ‘morrocan’ lamb/pasta/salad thing going on. Major case of fusion cooking! But it is tasty and gets eaten by everyone which is a big selling point! LOL

There’s always something cooking in my kitchen — soup is definitely a must-have all year long, even if it is super duper hot here 3/4s of the year. I recently tried a new pumpkin cake recipe. One of my favorite quick meals is smoked salmon pizzas made on pita bread and Greek salad. Yummo! This cookbook looks absolutely delightful. Wishing you a wonderful day. Tammy

Not much to be honest. We’ve recently moved into a new house and it has a gas oven that I don’t know how to use. In saying that I recently visited my Nana who gave me fresh rhubarb from her garden which I used to make a rhubarb and apple cobbler. The recipe was in one of my old NZ House & Garden magazines. Mmm… that was some good cobbler.

What a lovely looking cookbook. Over here it has been-constant stream of vegetable-lentil soups lately, though yesterday we had a break for meatballs in tomato sauce. I was planning more cooking today but am feeling rather I’ll, so it might just be leftovers instead.

Oops I forgot to say what’s cooking in our kitchen, well tonight a wonderful friend cooked us felafals (surely spelt wrong), baked mushrooms with cheese and nuts, asparagus (yum that time of year again!), cous cous (try that on predictive text!) and a yummy garden salad. I wonder if that counts.

these days we are trying to limit eating meat and fish to one day a week, so we’re celebrating pulses on a very regular basis. Today it is moong dhal, tangy aubergine curry and rice and yesterday braised red cabbage, mash and turtle bean burgers. Thank goodness there are so many different types of beans….
