Tartans

IMG_0462

Roses

I used to have a tartan pencil case when I was at school. It was skinny and perfect for pencils. I made some matching tartan pencil cases for my shop, inspired by that old one. And a few other things, too. The baby shoes are made from a very old, very fine linen tablecloth. Most of it was torn and stained, but one corner had this sweet rosebud and lily-of-the-valley hand embroidery.

In other news: have you seen this great watercolour tutorial? It's very informative. Makes me to sit down with my art supplies and get painting.

    Hi Melissa
It’s good to see that the blog is going on ok as per usual. I hope this means that you didn’t suffer much in the recent earthquake.
