We're having a long weekend holiday for Queen's Birthday, and its been raining nearly non-stop. Perfect weather for drinking wine with family and friends, watching a movie, knitting a green scarf.

I've also been doing a bit of work for next weekend's show, including this little stack of embroidered linen and wool needlecases.

Hope you had a great weekend too.

I don’t sew very much but I might just start so I can use one of your needlecases! Just beautiful.

We don’t get a day off over here (UK)!! It’s celebrated on a Saturday here…
Have a lovely long weekend, I’m slightly jealous of it being autumn/winter there. I know everyone’s supposed to look forward to summer, but I like it when it’s cold.

I love that stack of needlebooks. I’m tucked up inside today too with all the rain, using your/mine jasmine needlebook. Hope the rain eases soon.

What a pretty little stack. I was using my tiny happy needlecase this morning, fixing the hem of my dress!
    Have fun at the show.

your photos always make me very homesick for New Zealand but none more so than the picture of the red hot pokers. They are beautiful! I now live in a tropical climate where it never drops under 20 degrees but I found a bag of merino wool at our local fleamarket for a dollar (!) over the weekend and regardless of the 30 degree temperature outside today, I am knitting a scarf because it’s June which will always mean winter to me.
