Thank you for your kind words on my last post! I'm looking forward to sharing our new place here on my blog.
Here are a few favourite corners of our house over the past year. I always find it a bit sad to shift- I know we'll all miss this place. It's right in the middle of a busy community, was built in 1910 and has so much character.

I always feel a bit sad when I move too – I think it’s just the end to another chapter in life, and the start of another. Good luck with the move, it’s hard with children but I’m sure it will be worth it. A first home is so exciting – can’t wait to see how you decorate.

I just bought a newer car and traded in my old Buick. My hubby doesn’t understand why I was feeling so sentimental about saying goodbye to my faithful old friend. Of course it’s about the life that happened in and around that car or house. Things mean little to me, but the life that happened in them is priceless.
Don’t feel too sad about your old place and have a ball in your new one.

The great thing is, is that you have your blog to go back and reminisce over (all those lovely images) . . . . think of the move as a journey/adventure, moving onto the next chapter in your life. 🙂

I really hope the move goes well for you and your family. I am such a homebody that the thought of moving scares me! especially all the thought of packing up my sewing/craft stuff – it would be then my husband would realise what a hoarder I am! i always say goodbye to houses i’ve lived in too. nice though that the new place will be instantly home because the ones you love will be there.
i secretly love to move since it’s the only time i’m really able to edit and simplify my life.
