I made some differently-sized zip cases for my shop update today, and realised afterwards that they make a rather colour-coordinated collection. I seem to do that every week- subliminal colour groupings.

We have two big camellia trees outside and little K likes to pick the flowers and bring them in for me. Almost always without stems. But we found a good display solution- a pudding bowl of water. I love tree-roses.

We've also made jam drops today, from this recipe. Bottled strawberry jam from last summer. It's been patiently waiting all winter for me to open it.

Oh I wish the lady who lived in our house had planted those beautiful red camelias. We have about 10 trees, mostly various shades of lurid pink. I can’t bring my self to plant another, but envy the neighbourhood gardens who have the ruffly red variety you have pictured above!

Oh I see a little bag with the fabric like the one I got from you! Such great patterns.
Your camellias are so pretty too.

Yum, jam drop bikkies. I made a batch in the weeknd – my recipe is a US gluten-free version, which (rather oddly) has crushed up plain chips to provide the crunch…anyway, they taste good as I suspect your ones do.

Did you use my pastry cutter:)? “Jam drops” is the pretties of names for cookies.
PS I’ll reply as soon as something special comes to mind.

beautiful combination of rose-red. I do the same with flower with no stem. Otherwise they’re just to sad to watch dry out on the table

I love red and those jam drops look yum! Eloise often picks camellias too, never with stalks, we put them in a bowl too. Love the shop update.

🙂 YUM. I have tons of roses on my farm and we never pick them. It’s a shame really I should start picking some. Cause they soon die and It’s hard to get out to look at them everyday. But if you’ve got them indoors you get to look at them more. I’m going to put some on the kitchen table we spend a lot of time there. Thanks Mellisa. xx

So lovely… my mom would save blossoms without stems just like you have in a small dish filled with shallow water. Sweet!

Flowers are gorgeous & I have always loved your bags!
Funny with color isn’t it. When the kids were smaller & I actually dressed them… we’d all go out the door coordinated… unintentionally and usually unnoticed until mentioned by someone else.
Best wishes on the show….. ~*~

Thanks for the tip about the extra 1/2 cup flour. I have made these recently and mine also spread too much. This time they were nice and round and high – just like mum used to make!
