Garden 1

Garden 2

Garden 3

I spent a bit of time in the garden over the weekend, digging and pruning and planting.

When I came inside in the evening, I made these garden-inspired coffee cups. I found some spring-green ceramic ink and it was too hard to resist using it.

I think my favourite thing about early spring is the smell of the garden: the flowers waking up, the bulbs unfurling. (And the freshly cut grass of the next door garden too.)

What pretty cups you made, and that shade is spring grass green. I like the idea of our plants waking up from their winter sleep.

The green is a lovely colour and the cups have turned out really well-the best you’ve done so far (IMHO!!)
There’s definitely a hint of autumn over here…and we haven’t really had any summer. Maybe next year!

Those coffee cups are just divine. I’ve dabbled a bit with that ceramic ink/pen thingys before and they turned out nothing like yours! Obviously it’s the artist, not the tools…. hehe.

These are so beautiful Melissa. I love the curvy shape of that last cup and the spring green is really refreshing. Snowdrops are one of my (many) favourite flowers.

the flowers– and the cups– are really so beautiful. Such a different type of plant, aesthetically, that I see either around here– east coast USA, in the heat of summer, or at home — northwest california. These feel like a cool, sweet breeze to look at. Thank you.
