We have a viburnum tree in flower in our driveway. At least, I think that's what it's called. It's beautiful: each thin branch is heavy with a snowball of white flowers. And since our tree has started flowering, I've noticed there's a viburnum in almost all of the gardens on our street.

It's a little difficult to translate into stitches, but I tried anyway.

I just heard you on National radio. It was lovely to hear you although my reception was a bit difficult as I was down in the orchard.
It is great that bloggers have become people of some authority on all sorts of subjects. I love blogging and obviously you do too. Best Wishes for the future of your blog and your crafty pursuits.

They are flowering in Hobart too at the moment. I had a sniff of our neighbour’s on the way past with the pram the other day… then sniffed another one that was just up the road. Just because they smell great 🙂

Beautiful translation in thread. Really gorgeous. What a treat to have all those little white flowers carpeting your garden as they fall down from your tree.

Melissa, your embroidery is (as always) totally exquisite. Loving my new bag and the little coin purse you embroidered with the buddleia plant. How lucky for you that Spring has arrived and I think since I love gardening so much, how even more wonderful it would be to move into a new home and see all the lovely flowers and shrubs the former owner planted. Each day must bring a little surprise for you!

you inspired me to make some lemon curd. my son and i made it yesterday but i have yet to use it. i am wondering do you warm it before you use it and how long will it keep.

    hi nancy,
i hope youll enjoy eating the lemon curd! it should keep for a few weeks in the fridge. you could warm it in a small pot (to use as a sauce over cake or icecream) but we usually just have it cold, as a spread on toast.
