We have a viburnum tree in flower in our driveway. At least, I think that's what it's called. It's beautiful: each thin branch is heavy with a snowball of white flowers. And since our tree has started flowering, I've noticed there's a viburnum in almost all of the gardens on our street.
It's a little difficult to translate into stitches, but I tried anyway.

I just heard you on National radio. It was lovely to hear you although my reception was a bit difficult as I was down in the orchard.

They are flowering in Hobart too at the moment. I had a sniff of our neighbour’s on the way past with the pram the other day… then sniffed another one that was just up the road. Just because they smell great 🙂

yes! viburnum opulus – also known as crampbark; the bark is used medicinally for, well, cramps! so beautiful. i love this!

you inspired me to make some lemon curd. my son and i made it yesterday but i have yet to use it. i am wondering do you warm it before you use it and how long will it keep.

i hope youll enjoy eating the lemon curd! it should keep for a few weeks in the fridge. you could warm it in a small pot (to use as a sauce over cake or icecream) but we usually just have it cold, as a spread on toast.
