Jasmine 1

Jasmine 2

Jasmine 3

A tangle of jasmine from the garden and another plant, which I think is called a hardenbergia. And two new second-hand finds: this amazing old framed embroidery featuring a swan and some rushes, and an old Crown Lynn milk jug. The mantlepiece is happy.

We're planning a walking trip into our nearest National Park tomorrow, so I'll take a short break from the blog and etsy. See you later on in the week!

I love the smell of jasmine, it won’t grow here though. We did have it in the garden when we lived down south and it was lovely. Enjoy your hols!

I have a similar jug – also a second-hand find – and it gives me such pleasure. I gaze at it and sigh! Lovely jasmine, makes me yearn for summer again now we have autumn rolling in over here..

ooh enjoy the beautiful Aotearoa spring. There is some truly amazing old needlework floating around our crazy op shops. It must have felt exciting to discover such a carefully considered piece.

Yes, it is hardenbergia, also called “Happy wanderer” here in Australia!

I love your flowers. I’ve been taking in the last burst of zinnias from the garden. Soon the frost will do them in for the season. My family loves to hike. Have fun on your trip.

Sadly my old white jug developed a leak, your looks so nice with the beautiful flowers. I can almost smell the jasmine, I think you have may invented a new collective noun “a tangle of jasmine”.
Love the embroidered swan picture, I’ve recently started to collect Vernon Ward pictures (car boot and charity shop finds) and have 2 little swan pictures.
Hope you have a lovely walking trip

The jasmine picture is making me miss California. We had jasmine grazing our terrace in the back of the house, and I used to sit out there knitting, smelling the wonderful fragrance..
