Viola 3

Viola 1

Viola 2
Here we have some delicate little viola tricolour flowers from the garden. I spent an hour this afternoon with children chattering endlessly, drinking tea with my mum and embroidering these little ones to make a needlebook. The sun shining through the windows and this French music on the stereo… not a bad way to spend the afternoon….

Hope you're having a very nice time this Tuesday, too.

We call them Johnny-jump-ups which is such a brilliant name for a great little flower. When we moved into our house there were heaps growing wild in the garden (sadly there are less now) and the guy who was mowing our lawn at the time told us that we needed to get rid of them all because they were a weed and would take over the garden and we were all “yes!”.

That does sound like a nice afternoon. Love the violas with all the different shades. I think we’ll miss the chattering when the kids go back to school.Enjoy the week.K

Putumayo do the BEST kids albums – we have rock and roll playground on constantly in the car. Might need to check out a few from the library.
    Lovely stitching (as always!) 🙂

We are getting the same storm Margie is awaiting. 2-3 more feet of snow! To hold a lovely viola seems unreal at the moment. Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful. I love violas and you have captured their essence very well. We have a neice in Germany named Viola. I long for summer. We are -20 Celcius with the windchill this morning.

So nice, sometimes it is hard to remember what summer feels like with all the snow and cold- this post transported me to that summer-day feeling. I love those violets.

it’s just so hard to imagine that the ground is not covered with snow where you are, but instead you are sitting outside enjoying a lovely afternoon with…bare feet! Your project is so sweet and so reminiscent of warm and inspiring sunny days 🙂
