Book 1

Book 3

Book 4

Book 5
I bought a copy of this Japanese book: Lovely Girls Clothes by Akiko Mano from this etsy shop a little while ago. I fell in love with the patterns and styling of course – I mean, come on, look at those gorgeous little models! In truth it was a bit of a cruel tease as I have a serious shortage of time at the moment and other Pressing Matters that don't include making wool capes for my own children. But I will make them, for sure. And one of those coats. And a bubble dress.

Anyway, I thought you might enjoy a quick flick through the pages too.

P.S The book's reference number is ISBN978-4-579-11289-0 and there are a few more photos on my flickr page.

These Japanese crafting books are my Kryptonite. This one looks particularly lovely, and I can easily imagine your darling girl in these beautiful outfits.

I especially love that blouse at the top (C/D). I had been wishing for a new japanese sewing book, and then found out that my friend just got a couple new ones, so I’m looking forward to flipping through hers…

You wear your watch the same way I do! My grandfather wore his that way to keep from banging it on crates at the dairy where he worked. I thought it looked cool when I was little so I started too. Can’t go back now! 🙂

Oh M! I need this book as I would dress Mila in every one of those pieces of clothing when she is older. I hope E enjoyed her ginger crunch you made her the other day, I would ask you to say Hi but she would see many people come and go there.

Fantastic patterns, I love them all. Sadly my not so little girl is starting to outgrow these books. Not sure what age they go up to.

Ooh I picked this one up recently too. Gorgeous isn’t it? I have a couple of years until my girl will be big enough to wear them, but I had to add it to the pattern collection. There are plenty of other things I need to make in the meantime too…

This is pretty great. The photos alone can be a big statement even if you don’t understand Japanese 😀

Ohhh – this must be from the same publisher as the other you sewed a dress from (which I bought btw and loooove, though I haven’t yet tried to sew the dress for me!) Just gorgeous and so peaceful to sit down with, with or without any making :^)

I adore these pictures and would love to get my hands on a copy of this book. I am very much a beginner sewer though and need clear instructions, so do you think the diagrams would be enough for beginner like me? Thank you for the inspiration!

Oooh, the blue blouse in pic nr 2 is just beautiful. I seems the patterns are a bit small for my 9 y.o. girl though…
