Isn't it amazing that those sunflower seeds are so geometric, so mathematical? Plants are very mysterious, in my opinion.

my eyes always catch on patterns, especially in nature. i love it, but it’s also extremely distracting. and i want that album. 🙂

Flowers are truly a mysterious miracle. My partner’s a gardener and, even after all these years, it’s a source of huge joy and wonder when, out of the hard winter ground, something beautiful appears.

The sunflower shows so well that mathematics are not so abstract as it seems. The pattern of the seeds is a nice example for the Fibonacci numbers (or vice versa).
