Poppies 3

Poppies 1

Poppies 2

Just channelling a bit of summertime here from a frosty little place at the bottom of the world.

These cushion covers were made from my small collection of vintage poppy-printed fabrics. They're part of my shop update today.

Dreaming of resting against one of these on a garden swingseat, lemonade in hand and accompanied by birds in surrounding trees… surely those days can't be too far away?

I hope the sun is shining on you today.

love your cushions..i have had to cull most of the flanders poppy plants that self seeded in my garden from last year..they have a tendency to take over..but there are a few left to flower this summer into their crimson happy faces..jane

These are lovely – I love the fabrics you’ve used. And it’s cold in the top half of our little corner of the world too!!!

The poppy fabric is gorgeous. My grandmother had amazing poppies in her perennial beds. Thanks for the memory. 🙂
Our veggie bed has a patch of beautiful nasturtiums that are blooming like crazy right now.

These are lovely. I would take them and a blanket to go for a nap under a big tree!

Believe me, the sun IS shining on us here in South Texas. It was 104 degrees when I got in my car yesterday afternoon. We’re ready for the opposite problem.

Lovely and your description of your “frosty little place at the bottom of the world” made me smile. We’re sweltering in Colorado, but luckily, none of the humidity of east coast.

I love to see you’ve transformed that fabric into a beautiful cushion! We’ve had so much sun here over the last few days I can’t quite believe it.

Those are beautiful Melissa. Today was actually nice ( in the 80”s with sun for the first part and much cooler then it has been) and now it is raining which we needed and I am thankful.

Poppies are dear to my heart – my second daughter is called Poppy! The poor thing is 5 in two weeks but currently home with chicken-pox, such a shame when the sun is shining and warm this week here in Stockholm. Lovely fabric!
