These little baby slippers were made on the weekend, finally utilising an old piece of hand-appliqued cotton I'd been hoarding for a long time. I think in the end it is better to use these fabric pieces, rather than keep them safe in a box. Letting them fly out into the world.

Also on the weekend we held a potluck lunch, walked on the beach (Arlo was given a metal detector and we finally found batteries for it), saw this film and I finished reading this book, which I found incredibly beautiful. Hope your weekend was a good one too.

I struggle with that concept, I tend to save nice fabric instead of using it, must get on to that 🙂 I’ve always wanted a metal detector so I’m a tad jealous about Arlo’s one – hope he has fun!

love the booties!! and i so agree that it is a good thing to use something that one has been hoarding for a long time! when the time is right and you find just THE perfect purpose, that is such a good thing – and i know how that feels!
    happy sunday!

I’m just nearing the end of the Barnes, savouring the last pages. it’s lovely. metal detecting is great fun and it’s funny how the excitement of the beeping and digging outweighs the expectation of finding hoards of gold…

Those are beautiful little shoes. I think you’re right about hoarding vs. letting them fly. I have to remind myself of that sometimes.

Here s my email address ws515@msn.com , if you like I can tell you some easy way to fix the lights of your photos : )

Lovely little shoes! I think you’re right it’s far better to use things than keep them tucked away in a safe place forever, though it’s sometimes hard to do!

Just love these sweet baby booties. Are you selling them? I’m expecting my first grandbaby and would buy them in a flash. If by chance they are for sale please consider them sold. Just let me know.
