Rough and stormy weather here today- i thought the kids and I would be swept away on our walk to school this morning.

It might be bad walking weather but it's a good time to paint some tiny little envelopes with cheering watercolour images. And sew up some hot water bottle covers- these are made from machine-knitted leftovers that I found at a garage sale last year. Hot water bottle season is back again! I don't know whether to be happy about that or not.

Not so sure either! I just know I do need to sew some hot water covers over here urgently…sigh

Wow! In the US, hot water bottles went the way of bustles and stagecoaches. What an energy efficient way to take the chill off!

I love my hot water bottle – but I’m so glad that I won’t have to see it again until October! 🙂

Just realized that today is the spring equinox in the Northern Hemisphere, so happy spring to us (finally!)! Is this your first day of autumn?

Love your hotwater bottle covers. I got a new one this year and am in love. I feel warmed just looking at it!
