I bought a book about identifying wildflowers at the opshop today, and the elderly lady behind the counter said jealously, 'I suppose you're about to go out and look for some right now, are you?' I didn't have time this afternoon, but I will plan a trip to look for some very soon.

In the meantime I made some wildflowery things to put in my shop tomorrow, and had a wee look for wild plants in the garden at home.

I hope you had a lovely Eastertime wherever you are.

We must go to the Downtown Ministry Book Fair which happens later in the year. Its a phenomenon to be reckoned with. You must bring lots of empty bags and some money. Its a date!

I have a few books on Scandinavian wild flowers, and they have lovely illustrations – to me such books are like maps, I can look at them forever. I love that drawstring pouch! 🙂

Gorgeous wildflowers and such sweet creations. Great find with the book. I’m always on the lookout for vintage botanical illustration books. I’d have to agree Scandivintage, they are like maps!

WE did, thanks. WE visited friends with new calves and others with new lambs. Ah, it is nice to visit country friends and see spring and all it’s splendor. We just need some warmer weather and the wildflowers will come. I have seen little buttercups already. Some of my perrenials are showing green. I love this time of year.

Dear Melissa, can you please tell me the title and author of that book? I would like so much to have a closer look at it. I am very into getting to know the plants around me this year. Thank you! Katharina
