Here are a few photos of the island wedding of my brother, T and his partner S. The flowers in the bouquets and decorations were pretty gorgeous and the scent was amazing- there were frangipani, bougainvillea, gardenia, oleander and hibiscus stems and extras for our hair, too. The actual ceremony took place in a little clearing by the beach under an archway woven with banana palms and tropical flowers. And directly behind the arch was a wild dog, just hanging out and watching us. Of course, now I wish I took more photos, but I got distracted. That's how it always is. Aren't those colours divine?

When we went to Rarotonga there was a stray dog who hung around us all week. We named him “Spirit Guide” and cracked ourselves up enormously. The girls look very pretty in their special dresses- sounds like it was a lovely occasion.

Thank you for the lovely photos.
K and the other little girl look gorgeous in their dresses and colourful bouqets. A lovely memory for K to have when she is a grown up. Ooh wonder where she will want to get married herself one day…… the precedent may have been set.. 🙂
I can see why it is a popular place to get married.

I love the flowers in the islands – so many we dont see here in NZ, especially the frangipani, they smell divine.

I adore tiare tipani, the gardenia. Its my mother-in-laws favourite flower and I have a niece also named just that. I spy a white hibiscus too I think. I’ve never seen one before. If there’s one thing I miss, living in a colder climate, its those sub tropical blooms. Thank you for sharing. x
