I am really happy it's September. I challenged myself to a sugar-free August (I picked something I knew would be hard to relinquish as I am a lifelong chocolate devotee and wanted to see if I was tough enough to go without something I loved. And surprisingly I was- hooray!) So while that was all good, I must admit I was happy when September rolled around. I had some chocolate gelato to celebrate.

Also, because it's early spring, I'm obsessing over forget-me-nots again. Just like I did last year twice and two years before that, it would seem (it's handy to have this blog as a reference to past obsessions.)

Anyway, the other day I completed my paper-cutting work by making a collaged forget-me-not. Then I got some sets of postcards printed up in town, so that each set comes with a print of each botanical collage and matching envelopes.

I popped some in my etsy shop, but thought that in order to celebrate spring arriving here, it would be nice to give a couple of sets away too.

So if you would like to be in the draw for a card set, just leave a comment below and tell me why you love September where you live.

See you in a few days.

Because it’s my birthday in September, and even though I’m on the downhill side of 40, I still get a bit excited when my birthday month rolls around 🙂
I love the way your collages look, so pretty, and the forget-me-nots are perfect.
I always love seeing the seasons on your side of the world too, the magic of the Internet!

oooh, forget-me-nots.. I love them, too. Beautiful note cards 🙂
I am in the Pacific Northwestern Region of the US, which means September for us is the beginning of the Fall Season. My favorite season. As I get older, I like fall more each year because it marks a slowing down of days, a quietness that I like. And, it also officially marks the time for knitting with wool again! 🙂

I love your cut outs!! And I would love some postcards. I love September in Wellington because we can throw open the doors, hang up our coats, and breathe in the Possibility of Summer. 🙂

I really like your Delany style with these collages. I’d love to win a set 🙂
Here in France, September means the beginning of fall. These days, we have chillier mornings, but stil have sweaty hot afternoons, so it seems we’re never dressed adequately ! But I like noticing this slight drop in temperatures, the first leaves falling, and everyone going back to work (what is more depressing in summer than seeing all those people on holidays when you are still working in town ? :p). The town seems relieved, somewhat lighter.

Beauty! September in my side of Canada means nice days, but cooler nights, which is a nice change from the dry and extremely warm summer we have been having. But my favourite: the deciduous trees start changing colours in September. So much easier to accept the upcoming cold winter with this beauty that Fall brings us!

Oh wow, you wouldn’t believe how blessed I’d feel to be sent some of your cards. Please put my name in the hat! I love September as autumn is my favourite season here in England, I love the autumn weather, the colours, conkers, bonfires, wearing layers, and picking fruit from our back garden trees.

September is the return to routines of school and sporting activities (simultaneously dreaded and welcomed). I like the bonus bit of sunshine we seem to get, especially appreciated after a not so sunny July and August. We live in Oxford (UK) where punting, for us, has become a September activity, helping to eek out the summer just a little bit longer.

I love planning and planting my veggie patch. It’s already relatively warm here in Sydney, so today we put in tomatos, lettuces and radishes : )
