a) wild-growing (scentless) sweet peas gathered on a walk to the top of a hill, overlooking the city. There are many wildflowers up there at the moment.
b) a new cushion cover i sewed from an old piece of hand-embroidered wool fabric (origin), with a linen border and striped backing. the cushion inside is a feather one that used to reside on my grandparents' couch, but it needed a new cover.
c) our internet is fixed- hooray!
I planted some sweet pea seeds this year but noticed wild ones growing about the place. Should I be worried that mine haven’t sprouted? Hmmmm

Oh how funny. I just saw some of these sweet peas today too! I’m in Wellington for 6 weeks for work and this is the first time I have ever seen wild sweet peas. And I stopped to sniff them just to find out if they had a perfume. And no they didn’t. Wellington is such a beautiful city and the sweet peas today were a bonus.

Welcome back! A lovely read after a couple of magic evening hours in the garden on this balmy calm Wellington evening!!! I’ve never consciously noticed wild sweetpeas here… inspiring. I’m wondering what the wool will be (love the tone)… and (being the curious type) what’s the book? Recommend?

Gorgeous. I love sweet peas. The cushion is really beautiful as well. I treasure the few pieces I have of my great grandmothers embroidery. It looks right at home on the couch with the book and knitting.
