This is what I've been busy with lately: growing vegetables. Well, mostly salad stuff if I'm honest: rocket, iceberg, mesclun, cos, beetroot, spring onions, and all the herbs I can think of.

Tom built three raised garden beds, using old weatherboards found under the house. We've had some sun and warmth lately, and the seedlings took off. All resulting in big salads for the dinner table: comprising different leaves, petals, and edible flowers.

So grateful for the space to grow these. And sun, and the time.

Fantastic! Nothing like home grown veggies for taste and satisfaction. I’m missing my veggie patch, which has become an overgrown weedy mess since I fell pregnant. But there is a season for everything, and hopefully the time will come again soon to put it to rights and start eating from the garden again. In the meantime I will admire your lovely raised beds! 🙂

oh wonderful! we made some new frames for the beds last weekend – spinach and radishes are in, but salady things will have to wait a bit yet.
