Patchwork quilt
Hello! Thought I'd share this pic of a recently-finished quilt I made – the colours are bringing me a lot of joy! For this I used leftover linen scraps and some hand-dyed cotton on mustard yellow, greys and pinks. It's very soft and warm, with wool/cotton batting and is currently brightening up the bed in our sleep-out.

After 19 years of updates, my blog is finishing up in two weeks, and will not be available to visit any longer after that. The platform I am using is shutting down and the site will no longer be available from September 30. This has brought me a bit of stress and sadness, but also signals time for me to move on, which had been on my mind anyway.

I will be moving over to a new site and will back here next week to let you know where that is. I'm not sure how much of this blog will move over with me. I've been writing it since 2006, and as you can imagine, that's a lot of content to import and sort and check. I will probably move some patterns and projects over gradually, as I find time.

Please do take this opportunity to download and save any patterns, recipes, projects or anything else you might find useful from this site before the closing date of September 30, 2025.

Thank you so much for joining me here over the years – whether you've popped once or regularly, whether you've left a comment or not. Your presence, encouragement and support has meant so much to me. See you again next week with a new link to follow. You can also follow my over on Insta and FB for an update once the new site is live.

I said how lovely it has been to see your amazing effects and be inspired , your lemon cake is always a fav and your book had much use when my kids were small. And best of luck with new adventures!
